With new car prices averaging $33,801, many Americans are looking for a good deal on a quality used car. Fortunately, they have the experts at Kelley Blue Book to help them make the best choice.
KBB recently set out to determine the best used cars under $8,000.
It’s an interesting price point – one where a buyer with good credit can enjoy car payments well under $150. Or where an aggressive saver can buy their car outright.
To determine its picks, KBB didn’t go for the cars packed with the most features, or ones that offer the best performance.
Instead, in keeping with the theme of frugality and value, KBB’s editors consulted with their their master mechanic to pick the best used cars under $8,000. In other words, reliability over time was a key factor in making these picks.
