Each year on Columbus Day, all Peach State FCU branches and offices close—but we don’t take the day off.
We take the opportunity to have an all staff meeting, bringing nearly 150 staff members from 14 branches and our corporate headquarters together for training and to revisit our core values.
This year, we met at Gwinnett Technical College. We were encouraged to think about our retirement plans with advice from our 401K provider, followed by seminars about successful teamwork and creating good communication habits. We got a few great tips that will help us meet our goal of providing excellent member service.
We also recognized a number of staff members for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of dedicated service!
Getting in touch with core values, the entire staff worked together to fill 700 bags with food for the Nothing But the Truth Ministry. The organization works with local schools to identify children who participate in the Free/Reduced Lunch Program and may not have food to eat over the weekend. The bags of easy open/self-serve foods are then given to children by school counselors before they leave school on Friday afternoon. Check out a few photos on their Facebook page!
Peach State is committed to serving the communities in our footprint and we will continue to look for more ways to provide excellent member service.
