Dear credit union members:

Our team has been hard at work on a variety of projects that impact our strategic growth. This growth comes in the form of expanding our footprint in the community, as well as providing products and services that make our life easier. Each decision we make, relationship we form, and new product or service we offer is to enrich the lives of our members and help them better afford life.

On August 1st, we officially welcomed the members of Richmond County Teachers FCU (RCT) to the Peach State family. Founded by educators more than 50 years ago, Peach State remains an education-based credit union, and with this merger, we honor that tradition. To ensure a smooth transition for RCT’s members, we have opted to do a manual conversion. This means that we will reach out to each member individually to transition their RCT account(s) to a Peach State account(s). This will be a gradual process that we anticipate will take place over the next three to six months. Keep an eye out for mail from Peach State with instructions on what to do.

We are also pleased to announce that we recently leased space for an Oconee County branch. We have served this community since 2009, and know that a brick and mortar location in this area will make banking for these members more convenient. It is slated to open April 2017. We envision this to be a “branch of the future”, featuring member service and business development representatives rather than a traditional teller line. Representatives will assist members in finding the products and services they need for their individual financial needs. We believe that this concept will streamline your overall banking experience.

Finally, we are more than excited to launch our Mobile Check Deposit service! Once you have been approved to use this feature, you will be able to deposit a check by simply taking a photo with a smartphone. It’s quick and easy, and eliminates your need to visit a branch or ATM. Be sure to check out the article on page 2 of the latest issue of Member Matters for additional details.

As we continue to grow the credit union, we hope your relationship with us will grow too. By helping people afford life and providing convenient ways in which to do so, we will be able to help more people enjoy the credit union difference.
